Well, I think I've figured out what the third digit is for the briefcase code. I found the 3 of "Chapter 3" in the book circled with red biro. So that's 193 but what's the forth number?


I'm not going to contact you tomorrow, what with it being Christmas Eve and all, but I will send you a message on the 27th. If I don't, you should immediately call the police. Make something up to get them to come to my house. I don't care if they question me about the hole in the garden or Molly or the shotgun in my bedroom. If I don't contact you on Monday you need to assume that the worst has happened.


I really don't feel safe here. I hope David does drop in on Christmas Day and I'm really looking forward to seeing you again in the new year.
