Journal, Tuesday 01.03.11
Dicky came back an hour ago, looking tired and pale. When I asked him where he had been for the last twenty four hours, he just muttered something about needing some time alone to think and went off up to bed.
Emily doesn't look good at all. She's lost an awful lot of blood and if we don't take her to a hospital soon, there's a good chance that she'll die. I've wrapped the wound up tight with a towel but I'm pretty sure, if TV and films are anything to go by, that the bullet needs to be removed in order for the wound to heal.
I went through Dicky's trousers to try and find the key to the padded cell, but I couldn't find anything. Surely, David and Charlie won't survive for very long in that room without food or water. Also, there's a good chance that they both need medical attention after the beating that Dicky gave them.
When Dicky wakes up, I'm going to insist that we feed them and then question them to see if they know anything about how Emily got shot.
Oh god! The alarm is going off again!
I hope it's you, Harrison.
I'll just upload this quickly in case it isn't.
I'll let you know what's happening as soon as possible.

Emily, Charlie and I are locked in a padded cell. Mark unlocked the door about an hour ago. He put Emily in with us and gave me this laptop. He told me to write down everything and upload it here. He was bleeding from the face and shoulder. He said he had to lock us in here. He said that the house was full of people. He told us that if he didn't come back that we were to keep uploading messages until someone came to rescue us.
Emily is unconscious but I've checked her wound and it's healed by itself. Charlie is awake but his arm is broken. He says that Dicky attacked us. I don't remember that. I don't remember anything after getting to beach house. I only remember waking up in here.
I can hear people pounding at the door. There have been gunshots fired. There are voices outside the room but they're too muffled to make out what they're saying.
I'm not sure what else there is to write. Am I supposed to write about how Emily, Charlie and I got
here? Or should I wait for Emily to wake up and let her write it?
I guess I'll upload another message later today, if anything changes.

David, I need you to listen to me very careful. Before Christmas, I left Emily a present, on her doorstep. It was a key on a chain with a note telling her to wear it around her neck at all times. Hopefully, she listened to my request.
If you pull away the top left-hand padded square on the wall opposite the door, you will find a keyhole. Using the key around Emily's neck, you will be able to open a secret door on the back wall of the cell. Behind this door, you will find a room containing a large selection of weapons and another door which opens to a long tunnel. I want you to take whatever weapons you and Charlie feel you can carry and head down the tunnel.
The tunnel opens out onto the beach. Hidden to the left of the exit, underneath a sandy coloured tarpaulin, you will find a speed boat. I want you, Charlie and Emily to take the boat out and head towards France.
I know that this sounds crazy but the people that are in the house will stop at nothing to get hold of Emily. If you see Mark on the beach, feel free to take him along with you. If you see Dicky or anyone else, I want you to shoot to kill. Don't stop to talk, don't hesitate, just shoot to kill. Trust me, they will kill you if they get the chance.
To reiterate, Dicky is not to be trusted. He's the reason that you're all in this mess. He's already tried to kill me – in fact, he thinks that I'm dead. I'll explain myself fully later but for now you just need to trust me and do exactly what I've told you.
When Emily wakes up, I want you to give her the following message:
"The little blue snake and the big orange bird live in a hospital in Spain."
She'll know what it means.
